The Art Collection presents, as part of the ValenciaPhoto festival, the exhibition “ID Project – Jordi Bernadó. Banco Sabadell Art Collection”, which is open to visitors from 4 September to 14 October 2025 at the Almudín exhibition hall in Valencia.

Photographer Jordi Bernadó has chosen eleven prominent figures to reflect on identity through portraiture. They are eleven world leaders in human rights, feminism, ecology, science, the arts and the fight for a better future. They were all asked to choose where they wanted to have their photo taken. It could not be just any place; it had to be their place in the world. This was one of the conditions. The other was that they had to appear with their back to the camera. Their face could not be seen: the chosen place would define them. The landscape is the only clue that the viewer has in relation to the person portrayed.

We all have our own place in the world, a place that we love, that we miss, a place to go back to. And you? What is your place in the world?
