The artwork Una prueba, otra cosa no, by Basque artist Itziar Okariz, is part of the “Sumario Astral” exhibition organised by the Joan Brossa Foundation.

The exhibition, curated by Caterina Almirall with the collaboration of Clàudia Elies, is open to visitors from 3 April to 28 September 2025.

It explores the notion of magic in contemporary artistic practices and it is largely the result of a performative and collaborative investigation in which images, texts, gestures and spoken words are, in the capable hands of artists, the tools used to challenge and question this world and the reality that we create: both in the mind’s eye of each individual and in the collective imagination, in both social and more intimate contexts. The name of the exhibition comes from the last collection of poems by Joan Brossa, published posthumously, and it invites us to consider the invisible forces that affect both us and the reality that we build around us. It creates a link between the visible world and the invisible world, and speaks to the impossibility of bringing order to the cosmos in its material and spiritual dimensions.
