Our Own Path Remains, an installation by Fito Conesa, launches the exhibition series “Amable informal” (Informal Kindness), curated by Pilar Cruz and organised by the Fabra i Coats Contemporary Art Centre.
The work presents a device that makes listening a transcendent experience, a point of departure to invent new genres and enable new beginnings. A space to rethink our own individuality, always in relation to that of others. Conesa was inspired by Tabula rasa, a work by musician Arvo Pärt representing vertigo at the threshold of a new portal to world kindness.
The exhibition, which is open to visitors from 17 January to 6 July, explores the concept of kindness as a critical praxis, as a space of encounter and interrelation with others, through the work of eleven artists with a consolidated international background in the arts and research.
