The artwork Crol. Barana I, by Laia Estruch, is part of the “Hello Everyone“ exhibition organised by the art museum Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) in Madrid. The exhibition is open to visitors from 26 February to 1 September 2025.
“Hello Everyone” is configured as a large-scale installation that gathers together the artworks produced by Laia Estruch (Barcelona, 1981) from 2011 to date. Her artworks include formal variations and make up a type of fragmentary and reverberating archive that includes sculptures, sounds, moving images, graphic work and visual scores. As a whole, it can be considered at once a retrospective exhibition and a navigable warehouse.
Laia Estruch employs the human voice as a core material in her work, using vocal cords as tools to project a sonority that extends beyond mere interpretation. The spoken and sung words from each of the vocal projects are a response to the sculptural framework created specifically for them by the artist .
