The exhibition ‘Parallel Discourses’ aims to enrich the MAC’s discourse through the connections that can be drawn between certain works from the Banco Sabadell collection and the museum’s own holdings, the periods and themes covered by the museum, beginning with Martí Alsina himself and ending with Togores and his friends Valentín de Zubiaurre and Manuel Humbert, alongside closely associated artists such as Marian Andreu, Olga Sacharoff, Miquel Villà and Francesc Labarta. The selection also includes some Modernist painters, such as Lluís Graner and Mateu Balasch, and landscape painters who drew inspiration from the Vallès region, such as Joaquim Vancells, Joan Vila Cinca, Joan Vila Puig, Joan Comeleran and Ramon Calsina, as well as artists who are also represented in the museum’s collection, such as Marian Pidelaserra.
