The concept of Estancias refers both to place, the house or the landscape, the dwelling or the room in which we live, and to time: the act of remaining in a particular place or space.
If we seek an explanation of our world, we must refer both to its spatial reality and to its temporal reality.
It is in this dual sense that the exhibition Estancias should be understood. Bringing together a selection of 30 works from the Banco Sabadell Art Collection, it presents pieces chosen for their ability to evoke places and spaces, exterior and interior, private and public: the environments in which we move, think and live.
