The Banco Sabadell Art Collection launched its Documentary Photography section in 2010 with the incorporation of images selected from the Visa pour l'Image International Festival of Photojournalism and the DOCfield Barcelona Documentary Photography Festival.
As part of the PhotoAlicante international festival, we present a selection of works from DOCfield Barcelona 2017, an edition centred on travel in all its forms, whether as tourism or migration, exile or diaspora, urban mobility or exploration.
Travel entails a potential encounter with others and, at the same time, with oneself. In this sense, we understand travel as a transit experience, a temporary shift in personal identity.
