The artwork “De promesa al Cristo de Candás”, by Asturian painter Nicanor Piñole, has been chosen by the Nicanor Piñole Museum as the featured artwork from July to November 2023. The piece was first unveiled at the National Exhibition of 1920 and is a clear example of how the artist revitalised regionalist painting.
