Ramón Isidoro’s artwork Entre aquí y allí, 6, forms part of the exhibition “Intervention. Ramón Isidoro”, curated by Adonay Bermúdez and organised by the Niemeyer Cultural Centre in Avilés.
In “Intervention”, paintings become more than just objects nailed to the wall and are transformed into an atmosphere that envelops the visitor. Colour radiates beyond the painted surface and spreads across the structure of the Dome, transforming the Niemeyer building itself into a habitable artwork.
Blacks and golds interact with the light, sound and architecture of the building. Surfaces reflect and transform the lighting in the space, such that the work changes according to each visitor’s position and their movements. The viewer’s perception is never fixed: it changes, vibrates and is continually reconfigured in real time.
The work is complemented by a sound installation created in collaboration with artist Juanjo Palacios, which harnesses the vibrations of the building itself and converts silence into a sensory experience. To achieve this, sensors have been attached to concrete, steel and glass, capable of detecting creaking, stresses and micro-vibrations travelling through the structure. The end-result allows visitors to actually “hear” the building, incorporating its physical pulse into the artistic experience.
The exhibition is open to visitors from 20 March to 17 May 2026.
