The artwork CROL. Barana I, by Laia Estruch, forms part of the exhibition “3 x 2 is not 6”, organised and hosted by the Halfhouse gallery from 12 to 19 September and curated by Ana Laura Aláez.

“Cuando el estigma se vuelca en creadoras contemporáneas” [“When stigma is projected onto female contemporary artists”] is a research project conducted by Ana Laura Aláez based on interviews with Barcelona-based artists from different generations. An extract from this study, which is intended to continue over time and will take on different formats, such as video, text, blogs, etc., is presented for the first time at the exhibition “3 x 2 is not 6”.

The project features a selection of visual artworks by six female creative artists (Eulalia Valldosera, Julia Spinola, Violeta Mayoral, Dora García, Laia Estruch and Lucía Àngel C. Pino), accompanied by a trailer of a video containing interviews with them and related text.
