The piece Retrato de Concha Piquer, by Manuel Benedito, is part of the exhibition “Olé! The Myth of Spanish Identity through Andalusia”, organised by the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Malaga and open from 2 October 2026 to 1 March 2027.

 The exhibition analyses some of the many approaches to this subject that have coexisted or succeeded one another within visual arts in Spain since the nineteenth century to create an idea and image of Andalusia.
