The Fig Tree (La Figuera), a work by Josep Maria Marquès, forms part of “The Collection of the Museu de Belles Arts, Valencia: Between Bosch and Sorolla” organised by the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation and the Valencia Museum of Fine Arts. The work belongs to the Banco Sabadell Art Collection, which loaned it on deposit to that museum in 2022.

The exhibition includes over one hundred works from the Valencian museum, which is displaying pieces from its collection outside its headquarters for the first time. They can be viewed at the Cristina Masaveu Foundation centre, in Madrid, from 28 February to 14 July 2024.
